Anthurium andraeanum Sierra, also known as the flamingo flower, impresses with its glossy, dark green leaves and bright red, long-lasting bracts. In hydroculture it is particularly easy to care for – ideal for modern homes and offices, where it brings elegance and colour to everyday life.
Care in hydroculture:
Light:
Bright spot without direct sun. With sufficient light, it produces particularly many and intense flowers.
Temperature:
18–26 °C is optimal; do not keep below 16 °C for long periods.
Humidity:
Prefers slightly higher humidity, but also tolerates normal indoor air. Occasional misting is recommended.
Water & nutrients:
Check the water level in the hydroculture pot regularly and avoid waterlogging. Add hydroculture fertiliser to the water every 2–3 weeks.
Special features:
The flamingo flower is an elegant flowering plant that displays colourful bracts for many weeks. It is ideal as a decorative eye-catcher and gives any room a luxurious touch.
