Product information "Hydro - Anthurium Ellipticum Jungle Bush"

Anthurium ellipticum 'Jungle Bush' is an impressive and exotic hydroculture plant characterised by its large, elliptical leaves. This plant comes from the tropical regions of Central and South America, where it grows in humid rainforests and near riverbanks. Its natural habitat offers high humidity and diffuse light, which makes it an ideal choice for hydroculture.

Care tips for Anthurium ellipticum Jungle Bush in hydroculture:

Water level:
Make sure the nursery pot stands about 2 cm deep in water. Too much or too little water can damage the roots. Check the water level regularly to make sure it remains stable.

Light:
The plant prefers indirect, diffuse light. Direct sunlight can scorch the leaves, while too little light impairs growth. A bright room with subdued light is ideal.

Temperature and humidity:
Anthurium ellipticum 'Jungle Bush' does best at temperatures between 18 and 25 degrees Celsius. Higher humidity is beneficial, so an environment with moderate to high humidity is ideal.

Feeding:
Use a special fertiliser for hydroculture plants or a diluted liquid fertiliser solution. Feed the plant every 4 to 6 weeks to encourage healthy growth. The fertiliser should not be too concentrated.

Root care:
Check the roots regularly for signs of rot or mould. If necessary, rinse the roots and replace the water in the nursery pot to ensure a clean environment.

Removing dust:
Wipe the leaves regularly with a damp cloth to remove dust and let the plant breathe. This also promotes healthy photosynthesis.
