Product information "Hydro - Dracaena Fragrans Burley"

Dracaena fragrans 'Burley' is a popular houseplant that impresses with its elegant, long leaves. It is often used in offices and homes, as it is an easy-care choice and can also improve the indoor climate. It thrives particularly well in hydroculture, as it appreciates constant moisture and needs no soil, which reduces the risk of mould. Its green leaves with yellowish or light green stripes add a fresh accent to any room.

Care tips for Dracaena fragrans 'Burley' in hydroculture

Light:

Dracaena fragrans 'Burley' prefers bright, indirect light. Direct sunlight should be avoided, as it could scorch the leaves. The plant can also thrive in semi-shaded areas, as long as there is enough natural light.

Temperature:
The ideal room temperature is between 18 and 24 degrees Celsius. Extreme temperatures should be avoided, as should cold draughts and sources of heat.

Watering:
In hydroculture, it is important to keep the water level in the hydroculture pot constant. The water level should be neither too high nor too low. There should be enough water to keep the roots moist without drowning them.

Feeding:
A liquid hydroculture fertiliser should be used every few weeks to supply the plant with the necessary nutrients. It is important to follow the fertiliser manufacturer's instructions to ensure the correct concentration.

Humidity:
Dracaena fragrans 'Burley' prefers moderate humidity. If the air in the room is very dry, a humidifier can be used or the plant can be misted with water occasionally.

Repotting:
In hydroculture, repotting is needed less often than in traditional soil. However, if the plant becomes too large for its current container, it can be moved to a larger hydroculture pot. Take care not to damage the root system and to use fresh hydroculture granules.

Pests:
Dracaena fragrans 'Burley' is relatively resistant to pests but can sometimes be infested by spider mites or aphids. Check the leaves and stems regularly for signs of pests. If infested, the affected areas can be cleaned with a mild soap solution or a specific pest control product.
