Product information "Hydro - Dracaena Fragrans Burundii"

"Burundii" is a special variety known in particular for its hardiness and its impressive, narrow, elongated leaves. In hydroculture, it grows in a water-based medium that always supplies its roots with the right amount of moisture. This makes it ideal for people looking for an easy-care plant or who are allergic to soil. The plant is known for its ability to adapt to different environments and is often used in offices or homes, as it needs little care and exudes a calming presence.

Care tips for Dracaena fragrans "Burundii" in hydroculture:

Light:

Dracaena fragrans "Burundii" prefers indirect light. Direct sunlight should be avoided, as it can scorch the leaves. The plant can also survive in areas with little light, but grows more slowly in these conditions.

Temperature:
The ideal temperature is between 18 and 24 degrees Celsius. Extreme cold or sudden temperature fluctuations should be avoided, as they could cause stress.

Watering:
In hydroculture, it is important to keep the water level constant. The water level in the hydroculture container should be checked regularly and topped up as needed. However, it is important not to flood the roots completely.

Feeding:
Since there is no soil in hydroculture, regular feeding is required. A special hydroculture fertiliser should be used, and it is advisable to follow the instructions on the product. Feeding every two weeks is usually sufficient.

Humidity:
Dracaena fragrans prefers medium humidity. If the air is too dry, the leaf tips can turn brown. Regularly misting the leaves or using a humidifier can help prevent this.

Repotting:
In hydroculture, repotting is not needed as often as with plants in soil. However, the plant should be moved to a larger container every few years as it grows or when the root system becomes too cramped.

Pests:
Dracaena fragrans is relatively resistant to pests, but can occasionally be infested by spider mites or scale insects. The leaves and stems should be checked regularly for signs of pests. In the event of an infestation, the pests can be removed by hand or treated with a suitable insecticide.
