Product information "Hydro - Philodendron Narrow"

Philodendron Narrow, also known as Philodendron 'Narrow Escape', comes from the tropical forests of Central and South America. It is known for its narrow, deeply lobed leaves, which bring an elegant, tropical atmosphere to any room.

Important care tips for Philodendron Narrow in hydroculture:

Light:
Philodendron Narrow thrives best in bright, indirect light. Direct sunlight should be avoided, as it can scorch the leaves. Partial shade is well tolerated, but the plant should not be kept in complete darkness, as this can slow its growth.

Water: In hydroculture, it is important to keep the water level in the hydroculture pot constant. Make sure the water level indicator is always within the optimal range, ideally between "Minimum" and "Optimum". Waterlogging should be avoided to prevent root rot.

Temperature and humidity: Philodendron Narrow prefers warm temperatures between 18 and 24 degrees Celsius. Higher humidity is beneficial, especially in the winter months when heating dries out the air. It helps to mist the plant occasionally with water or to use a humidifier nearby.

Feeding: During the growing season in spring and summer, Philodendron Narrow should be fed every four to six weeks with a special hydroculture fertiliser. Use only half the recommended amount of fertiliser to avoid overfertilising. In winter, feeding can be reduced or suspended.

Leaf care: The leaves should be dusted regularly to support photosynthesis. If necessary, they can also be wiped with a damp cloth to remove dirt or deposits. Yellowed or damaged leaves should be cut off to encourage new leaves to grow and keep the plant healthy.
