The golden pothos originally comes from the tropical rainforests of Southeast Asia and is now one of the most popular houseplants of all. It feels particularly at home in hydroculture – perfect for anyone looking for an easy-care, evergreen plant.
Care in hydroculture:
Light:
Bright to partially shaded position; avoid direct midday sun
Temperature:
18–26 °C is optimal; temperatures below 15 °C are best avoided
Humidity:
Tolerates dry indoor air; occasional misting does it good
Water & nutrients:
Check the water level in the hydro pot regularly, avoid waterlogging, add hydroculture fertiliser every 2–4 weeks
Special features:
Grows quickly and forms long, trailing vines – also ideal for hanging baskets or tall shelves
