Hydro – Snake Plant Sansevieria “Super Flame”
Sansevieria “Super Flame” is a particularly striking mother-in-law's tongue with upright, narrow leaves that shade from bright yellow to green and add a lively splash of colour. Originally from West Africa, this variety is robust, easy to care for and ideal for modern living spaces or offices. In hydroculture, “Super Flame” grows particularly cleanly and evenly, and it is gentle on the roots.
Care in hydroculture
Light:
Bright spot with plenty of indirect light; direct sun only briefly, otherwise the leaves may scorch.
Temperature:
Ideally 18–27 °C; do not keep below 12 °C.
Humidity:
Normal indoor air is sufficient; no special humidity required.
Substrate:
Hydroculture granules (e.g. expanded clay) for a stable water supply and optimal oxygen supply to the roots.
Watering:
Check the water level and only top up when the indicator shows “Minimum”. Be sure to avoid waterlogging.
Feeding:
Every 4–6 weeks during the growing season with special hydroculture fertiliser.
Special features:
The hydro Sansevieria “Super Flame” is easy to care for, ideal for beginners and adds a lively accent to any interior thanks to its bright leaf colouring.
Overwintering tips
Top up with less water in winter, but do not let the roots dry out. Temperatures not below 12 °C. Avoid draughts. The plant remains a decorative eye-catcher even in the cold season.
