The Spathiphyllum hybrids, better known as peace lilies, are among the classic houseplants. Their elegant white flowers and glossy, dark green foliage bring calm and freshness to any room. In hydroculture, they grow particularly reliably and are easy to care for – ideal for offices or shadier living areas too.
Care in hydroculture:
Light:
Semi-shaded to bright position, no direct sun – also suitable for darker corners
Temperature:
Ideal temperatures are between 18–24 °C; they should not be kept below 16 °C for long periods
Humidity:
Likes high humidity but also tolerates dry room air. Regular misting has a positive effect on the health and shine of the leaves
Water & nutrients:
Check the water level in the hydroculture pot; do not let the roots stand in water permanently. Add hydroculture fertiliser every 2–4 weeks
Special features:
Cleans pollutants from the air and flowers several times a year with good care. The striking white bracts are an elegant eye-catcher
