Amblyseius predatory mites - Against thrips
Thrips
damage houseplants by sucking plant sap and leaving spots
and brown edges on the leaves. The predatory mite
Amblyseius cucumeris is a natural enemy of young thrips larvae and
sucks them dry.
Application:
The predatory mites come in paper sachets that are simply hung at
mid-height on the infested plants – without opening them. Over 4–5 weeks, the mites gradually hatch and combat
the thrips.
Note:
Keep humidity above 60 %.
In case of heavy infestation, renew after a few weeks.
10 sachets (500 mites each) are enough for approx. 5 plants. (Depending on infestation and plant size)
Application season: (January - December) spring, summer, autumn, winter
Important: In very hot or cold weather, shipping of the beneficial insects may be postponed by a few days for their well-being. This may therefore cause weather-related delivery delays
.
The beneficial insects are shipped according to availability and taking into account
the ideal temperatures / soil temperatures.
