The Moistick Moisture Meter is an analogue soil moisture sensorspecially developed for simple, direct moisture measurement in potted plants . No batteries needed! It is aimed especially at hobby gardeners, plant lovers or people who do not need digital technology but still want to know reliably when their plants need water. A great tool for every plant-loving household.

Overview: Moistick – analogue moisture meter:

  • Function: Measures soil moisture directly in the root zone of potted or garden plants.

  • Display: Mechanical or analogue – usually via a scale or a colour change.

  • Power supply: No battery needed – works purely mechanically or using simple physical principles (e.g. capillary action, expansion of materials).

  • Use: Insert into the soil – after a short time you can see whether the plant needs watering.

  • Target group: Ideal for people without green fingers or with little time to check the soil.


Important notes on use:

  • The Moistick should be inserted as deep into the soil as possible to measure the moisture in the root zone.

  • The moisture reading can vary depending on the type of soil – clay or loam soils retain moisture longer than sandy substrates.

  • After watering, it may take a while for the displayed value to change – this is normal.

  • Cleaning after prolonged use can improve measuring accuracy.
