Important: The Cryptolaemus ladybird larvae are the only beneficial insects we receive from production just every two weeks, always on a Wednesday. Depending on the day you order, delivery may take a little longer.

Cryptolaemus larvae (montrouzieri) - against mealybugs

 

Houseplants such as Beaucarnea, Dracaena and others are damaged by mealybugs through their sucking and their honeydew secretions. The larvae of the Australian ladybird Cryptolaemus montrouzieri are natural predators and particularly effective against these pests.

Application: The larvae are placed directly on the infested plants and eat up to 300 mealybugs during their development. Ideal for indoor use at temperatures of 22–30 °C.

Note: The larvae resemble mealybugs but are more active and grow larger. Delivery only takes place in odd-numbered calendar weeks. Release immediately on receipt. 25 larvae are enough for approx. 3–4 plants (1.50 m tall). Can be used all year round.


Important: In very hot or cold weather, shipping of the beneficial insects may be postponed by a few days for their welfare. Weather-related delivery delays may therefore occur. The beneficial insects are shipped according to availability and taking into account the ideal temperatures / soil temperatures.
