Encarsia parasitic wasps against whitefly
The tiny parasitic wasp Encarsia formosa controls whitefly on houseplants. It lays its eggs in the larvae of the pests, which turn black after approx. 2 weeks. New parasitic wasps hatch from them and reduce the infestation further.
Application: Distribute 10 cards with parasitic wasp pupae on infested plants (enough for approx. 5–10 plants). The insects are active at temperatures above 18 °C (optimal: 20–25 °C). Use only indoors, in conservatories or in greenhouses.
Application season: Spring, summer, autumn, winter (January - December)
Note: Release immediately on receipt. Whiteflies often sit on the undersides of leaves – check carefully there.
Important: In very hot or cold weather, shipping of the beneficial insects may be postponed by a few days for their well-being. This may therefore cause weather-related delivery delays .
