Product information "Ficus Elastica Robusta Column - Large"

History of the rubber plant El Robusta

The rubber plant El Robusta (Ficus elastica) is a particularly strong and hardy variety of the classic rubber plant. Ficus elastica originally comes from the tropical regions of Southeast Asia, where it grows into a large tree. As a houseplant, El Robusta became very popular thanks to its thick, glossy dark green leaves and its great adaptability. It is regarded as a long-lived, timeless plant for the home and office.

Care as a houseplant:

  • Light: Bright spot with plenty of indirect light; partial shade is well tolerated.

  • Temperature: Ideally 18–25 °C; do not keep below 15 °C.

  • Humidity: Moderate; occasional misting is beneficial.

  • Substrate: Loose, free-draining substrate with drainage, e.g. potting soil with perlite.

  • Watering: Water moderately; let the soil dry out slightly before the next watering. Avoid waterlogging.

  • Feeding: Every 2–4 weeks during the growing season with liquid fertiliser.

  • Special features: This houseplant is particularly robust, air-purifying and ideal for beginners.

Overwintering tips:

Water more sparingly in winter and keep it in a bright, warm spot. The rubber plant El Robusta is an easy-care and very sturdy houseplant that will bring you joy for a long time with minimal effort.

Gerne mal wieder. Besten Dank!

Lieferung etwas lange gedauert, lag aber wohl bei Planzer. Pflanze super gut verpackt und in bestem Zustand. War bei andern Lieferanten meistens nicht so.
