The Scindapsus pictus 'Argyraeus' is a popular climbing plant known for its striking, heart-shaped leaves decorated with silver and green spots. This tropical plant originally comes from the rainforests of Southeast Asia and belongs to the Araceae family. Its decorative foliage and easy-care nature make it a favourite choice for houseplant lovers and collectors.

Care as a houseplant:

  • Light: Bright spot with indirect light; avoid direct sun, as it can scorch the leaves.
  • Temperature: Ideally 18–28 °C; do not keep below 15 °C.
  • Humidity: Prefers moderate to high humidity; occasional misting is beneficial.
  • Substrate: Loose, free-draining substrate, e.g. a mix of potting soil, perlite and orchid bark.
  • Watering: Water moderately; the substrate should dry out slightly between waterings; avoid waterlogging.
