Vulkastrat Original 3-8 mm 10 litres
Vulkastrat is a substrate, which consists of volcanic rock, in particular lava granules. It is often used in plant cultivation, especially for houseplants and bonsai, because it offers excellent drainage properties and good aeration of the root zone. The material is light and stable, and at the same time stores sufficient water without causing waterlogging.
Thanks to its porous structure, it can absorb water and nutrients and release them gradually to the plants. In addition, Vulkastrat is inorganic, which means it does not rot or decompose, making it a long-lasting and reliable option for root growth.
It is often used in mixes with other substrates such as peat or compost to combine the benefits of aeration and water retention. It is particularly suitable for plants that need good drainage, such as cacti, succulents, orchids and other houseplants.
