History of the Dieffenbachia Summer Style

The Dieffenbachia Summer Style is a decorative, tropical-looking houseplant that delights with its large, elegantly patterned leaves. The deep green leaves are streaked with light green to cream markings, creating a fresh and lively appearance. With its dense growth and exotic foliage, the plant brings summery flair and natural freshness to living and working spaces. Dieffenbachia species originally come from the tropical rainforests of Central and South America, where they grow in warm, humid and shady regions.

Care as a houseplant:

• Light: Bright to partially shaded position with plenty of indirect light; avoid direct sun.

• Temperature: Ideally 18–27 °C; temperatures below 16 °C should be avoided.

• Humidity: Medium to high; increased humidity supports healthy growth and strong leaf colours.

• Substrate: Loose, humus-rich and free-draining houseplant substrate.

• Watering: Keep evenly slightly moist, but avoid waterlogging. The surface of the substrate may dry out slightly.

• Feeding: During the growing season, every 2–4 weeks with a liquid fertiliser for foliage plants.

• Special features: The light, tropical leaf pattern makes this plant a stylish eye-catcher in modern living spaces.

Overwintering tips:
