History of Lucky Bamboo
Lucky Bamboo, botanically belonging to the genus Dracaena , is a popular good-luck plant that has been associated with prosperity, health and positive energy for centuries. Especially in Asian feng shui, Lucky Bamboo is regarded as a symbol of harmony, luck and success. The artfully spiral-grown stems give the plant a modern, decorative look. Although it is known as “bamboo”, it does not belong to the family of true bamboo plants, but to the dragon trees (Dracaena). The combination of spiral stem and decorative vase makes this plant a stylish eye-catcher for living and working spaces.
Care as a houseplant:
• Light: Bright to partially shaded spot; avoid direct sun.
• Temperature: Ideally 18–28 °C; temperatures below 15 °C should be avoided.
• Humidity: Medium; normal room air is well tolerated.
• Location: Ideal for living rooms, offices or reception areas with indirect light.
• Watering: When kept in a vase, the roots should always be slightly covered with water. Change the water regularly and use low-lime water if possible.
• Fertilising: Fertilise sparingly every 6–8 weeks with a liquid fertiliser for green plants or hydroculture plants.
• Special features: The decorative spiral shape is the result of special cultivation and makes every plant an attractive one-of-a-kind piece.
Overwintering tips:
In winter, keep it in a bright spot and protect it from cold drafts. Check and renew the water regularly. The Dracaena Lucky Bamboo spiral stem incl. vase is an easy-care houseplant that enriches any room with its elegant shape and its symbolic meaning of luck and harmony.
