The weeping fig Exotica Double Spiral is a particularly elegant form of the popular Ficus benjamina. It is characterised by its glossy, rich green leaves and its artfully braided, double-spiral trunk, which gives the plant a modern, stylish appearance. The weeping fig originally comes from the tropical and subtropical regions of Asia and Australia, where it grows into a stately tree. It has been a classic houseplant for many years and creates a harmonious, green ambience.
Care as a houseplant:
• Light: Bright spot with plenty of indirect light; avoid direct midday sun.
• Temperature: 18–26 °C is ideal; temperatures below 15 °C should be avoided.
• Humidity: Medium; normal room air is well tolerated, occasional misting is beneficial.
• Substrate: Loose, free-draining foliage plant substrate.
• Watering: Water moderately; let the substrate dry out slightly between waterings. Avoid waterlogging.
